Which route and course is right for you?
We offer 4 different courses and 6 varying routes to your PGCE qualification and deciding which is the best one for you can be confusing! That's why we recommend contacting us directly so we can support you in this important decision.
Step 1 - Get expert advice to move your application forwards.
Download and email us a completed SCITT potential applicant form so we can offer personalised advice and support. Once we have your form, we will contact you directly to follow up and answer any questions.
Step 2 - Meet us to discover your options
We regularly run free information events as it gives you a chance to meet some of the team, learn about the different routes and courses we offer and ask questions about any aspect of the SCITT and School Direct options. Teacher training is a big decision and one that takes a lot of consideration - these events are designed to help you make the best choice.
Step 3 - Apply through UCAS or DfE
If you are ready to apply, use our handy UCAS Course codes 20-21 to see all the SCITT and accredited School Direct Early Primary and Primary programme course codes. (Note: this link will become live once UCAS applications launch on Oct 13th 2020) You can click onto these to see the course description to read in detail what make each course unique.
Not yet ready to commit to a one year PGCE programme with the SCITT?
The SCITT schools are also always interested in employing graduate Learning Support Assistants (LSA) and this can provide you with an ideal opportunity to find out if teaching is right for you. At the same time you will gain invaluable experience, earn money and make a positive difference to children’s lives. If a one year graduate LSA post appeals to you contact the SCITT for more information on (0116) 2543187 or firstname.lastname@example.org
