SUMMARY:Leicester Primary SCITT/School Direct Teacher Training Information Evening
DESCRIPTION:Do you want to apply for teacher training but are finding it confusing with so many options and choices?  Then this event is for you!  If you are a graduate or currently on a degree course\, this event will explain the structure of the SCITT and School Direct courses\, how school placements work and give advice on completing your application form. We’ll answer those burning questions you have about the teacher training interview process. \nIn the first hour\, we offer information regarding the different routes into Initial Teacher Training (including University\, SCITT and School Direct routes) and personalised advice regarding the next steps for YOU to take to successfully apply for ITT; \nIn the second hour\, we offer a workshop to help you make the most of any pre-course experience in schools. This workshop is specifically designed to provide excellent preparation for teacher training and ITT interview processes. We can also discuss opportunities for suitable candidates to gain school experience alongside teachers in partnership schools. \nYou can come along for just one of the two hours or attend the whole event\, depending on where you are in your application process. . DESCRIPTION:If you are a graduate with an honours degree and an interest in primary school teacher training\, but don't know where to begin\, then this informal information afternoon is a great place to start! You can also come along if you are currently in the middle of your degree and are thinking about teaching when you graduate.\nCome and chat about careers in primary education with a member of the SCITT management team over a cup of tea.
